1-in-a-Million Hot Dog Food Trucks

Posted on 12/18/2020 by Big Fat Writer, Tammie Nolte

Hot dog and sausage food trucks, trailers and carts have been around for more than 100 years. To be top dog in the city, food truckers have to come up with fabulous names, the best ingredients and unique toppings. Here's FoodTruckBooking's 1-in-a-Million hot dog, German wurst and handcrafted sausage trucks to book for your next sporting event, business lunch or food truck party.

  • A LITTLE HISTORY OF THE HOT DOG FOOD TRUCK

The hot dog food cart may be considered one of the first food trucks. In 1870, Coney Island opened it's first hot dog cart. In 1936, Oscar Mayer started the "Weiner Mobile." And Frankfurt, Germany has been celebrating the frankfurter and wiener for more than 500 years.

Arguably, the sausage-in-a-bun business might be longest lived and the most competitive among food trucks, trailers and carts. So standing out and making the best wurst are all important for survival in the city full of plenty of food choices.
