How do you choose the right spot for your Food Truck?

Posted on 10/26/2021 by Redactie

Offering good products and first-class customer service are the two important factors in running a Food Truck. In addition, you also need to be visible and customers should always know how to find you. Word-of-mouth advertising always helps, but.... what's a good place to put the handbrake on? In this blog, we'll discuss some things you can consider when choosing a staging area.

  • THINK ABOUT THE SEASONS

Autumn is a favorite season for romantics. Many writers idealize the colorful landscapes, country roads where the fresh air blows, the leaves falling from the trees... You don't necessarily have to set up in a park with a FoodTruck. At least not in the fall or winter. In the summer or spring, it may be convenient to position yourself in the park because there will be many people outside.

A FoodTruck can be a good shelter from a downpour that surprises the traveler or for an impromptu lunch for a group of office workers or students. It is useful to be in a place where there is a lot of traffic, i.e., where many people travel, work or study.

    THINK ABOUT THE SEASONS
  • WHERE ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS?

There is the routine, and there are those special days when you like to break it up. There may be customers who will grab a bite to eat at your FoodTruck before they start work, when they want lunch, or just when they are done after a long day of work.

What works best with your menu, and is it appealing enough for takeout? Every city has its own rhythm, and every neighborhood moves in its own way, especially if you are there with your FoodTruck. Take into account where your customers are and what their movement patterns are.

  • CREATE REGULARITY

To establish your customer base, you obviously need some regularity. Changing places every week, every few days or every month is appealing. However, the most important thing is that your customers know where you are, especially in big cities. The best advertising is for people to know that they can get the tastiest dishes at your stall on Friday afternoon after a long week of work and tell everyone where you are. For example, you can choose to stand in a different spot every day of the week but do so with regularity. And of course.... always make sure you have a parking permit

    CREATE REGULARITY
  • USE SOCIAL MEDIA

In addition to regularity, a good profile on social media is also important. For example, you can add a location or calendar to your Facebook profile or let people know in your Instagram stories where you are or at what events your Food Truck will be this week. This not only ensures that your customers are always up-to-date on where you are but also provides additional marketing.
