Austin’s reputation as the Live Music Capital of the World draws in thousands of international fans to SXSW and ACL, and thousands more for events like MotoGP, Formula 1, Trail of Lights and more. Austin’s reputation for food isn’t slight either. The city was recognized in 2014 as America’s Best Food City and continuously earns high marks on several lists of national food-rankings.One thing is clear: Austinites love their food options. As the Soul Food Truck Fest expands, we look to fill the hunger pangs for our local community, but also hope to draw those from all corners of the state and eventually the country to come experience the tastes of Austin, soul food style.Austin’s 2nd Soul Food Truck Fest will give attendees a taste of the hidden soul food mobile truck gems that are tucked all over the city.From savory BBQ, to Cajun-seasoned seafood to traditional soul food, 15 food trucks will be serving up piping hot, mouth-watering, itis-inducing dishes. In addition to the food, retail vendors will have original arts & crafts items for sale, and beer and wine will be available for purchase. Entertainment will include music,kid-friendly activities and more.
